Competition Update Sheila’s (Mayo Ltd) and The ICA have come to together in order to find the best Caiscin (Brown Bread) maker within their association. Details of the competition were announced An Grianán, Thermonfeckin, Co. Louth at a National Federation meeting on November 8th 2005 Competitors from within the twenty-seven federations throughout Ireland will use a tried and tested recipe from An Grianán along with the now famous “ Cuinneog “ Natural Buttermilk. A winner from each Federation will then go on to compete in a National Final which will take place in Dublin on Saturday 22nd of April 2006 Rules and recipe can be viewed below and the competition is limited to ICA members only
