Located just outside
Castlebar, Co. Mayo, Sheila’s (Mayo) Ltd has been established in Bohola
for over 17 years. Employing 10 staff, the company is the biggest employer
in this rural area.
Manufacturing under the
“Cuinneog” brand (Irish for churn), using churning techniques passed
from one generation to another, Sheila’s (Mayo) Ltd produces traditional
country butter and buttermilk. These products are full of natural goodness
with a unique lactic taste.
Distributed by PRM Ltd,
Cuinneog Country Butters and buttermilk are found in all major
supermarkets and symbol stores as well as independent retailers within
Ireland. A very limited number of retailers in the UK, France and Germany
also stock our products.
While maintaining the
tradition of butter making Sheila’s (Mayo) Ltd is continually involving
in response to customer needs and devotes significant resources to R+D and
innovation. Its new Probiotic butter is a direct response to consumer
trends and the first in a new range of products currently in the R+D
